meet jordan

Through my growth I found peace, and I share it so you can find yours.

when we’re confident in our own self-worth, we treat others better

Hi, I’m Jordan.

If you came here looking for a smiling headshot, you won’t find one. But I assure you I’m a real person. I like my privacy, and my face is doing just fine offline, thanks. What you’ll find instead are words, honesty, and a few uncomfortable truths that will make you roll your eyes and nod at the same time.

I wrote Own Your Shit because I was tired of watching people treat each other like crap, not because I wanted to be a self-help author. I realized how often this crappy behavior comes from insecurity and unhappiness. It’s everywhere. People walking around bleeding on each other because they don’t know how to face their pain. I wanted to help change that.

When people do the inner work of facing their pain instead of projecting it, they naturally become kinder, stronger, and more capable of treating others with respect. We need a lot more of that in this world.

This book is a conversation about the hard, necessary work of becoming someone you can be proud of. The kind of growth that starts with owning your mess and teaches you to lead with compassion. It’s not easy, but it’s worth every awkward, uncomfortable, beautifully human step.

So I invite you—and challenge you—to join me in doing the work that helps us all become the best versions of ourselves. Let’s change the world by becoming the kind of people it actually needs.

Wrestling my thoughts into submission

Where good ideas go to fight for their lives. Usually fueled by caffeine, sarcasm, and the belief that clarity shows up somewhere around version six.

Analog thinking in a digital world

Sometimes I ditch the keyboard and go full 1997 with pen and paper. (Fun fact: handwriting boosts brain activity, memory, and creativity that typing doesn’t. So technically, this is neuroscience.)

fresh air and epiphanies

When I hit a wall, I go outside and argue with myself until one of us has a breakthrough. It’s surprisingly effective.

about jordan

Jordan Blake is the author of Own Your Shit—a book about choosing honesty over ego, responsibility over excuses, and growth over comfort. Her insight comes from lived experience and, after years of unlearning toxic patterns of insecurity, avoidance, and self-betrayal, she has built a life grounded in accountability and self-respect.

With a B.S. in Communication and years of research in psychology and emotional intelligence, Blake blends straight talk with science-based insight to help readers build self-respect without the toxic positivity.

Her work explores how insecurity drives destructive behavior, and how healing it leads to confidence, kindness, and genuine connection. Through her book and journals, she helps people face their pain honestly so they can finally stop projecting it onto others.

When she’s not writing, she’s probably re-organizing her notes, experimenting with new coffee ratios, or pretending to enjoy quiet reflection while secretly analyzing human behavior for future chapters.
